Bio Engineering Grade 11 Students - Completed June 2008
Biology teacher Mr. Brett Bittner and his Canmore high school students completed a bio-engineering project in Fallen Timber Campground, Waiparous. Although cold and wet, 8 students participated in this stream bank stabilization project by harvesting and planting willows.
Garry Salekin worked in conjunction with the high school to provide the class with a hands-on experience and some education in environmental and trail sustainability. Great idea!
