Leisure Creek This area is a designated FLU Zone and regulations are in place. Leisure Creek Bridge Install #3 - Completed June 2007 The third 80 foot bridge installation was completed by volunteers in June 2007. Volunteers were given the opportunity to try some new bio engineering techniques. Thank you to Kevin of the Four Wheel Stampeders for organizing and completing bio engineering efforts. This project saw over 40 volunteers come out over a 3 day span. Special thank you to Hugh Dunlop for cooking lunch for all the hungry volunteers. These bridges take more then just one weekend to prepare. Often times it takes at least two to three months for a crew of people to organize and prep the construction site then gather materials and volunteers. Machinery, tools and transportation for the them also needs to be coordinated by project leaders and volunteers. Special thank you to Dave Dunlop and Garry Salekin for organizing materials, machinery and heading up this project! Thankfully SRD was able to provide $20,000 towards the installation of the four bridges! Special Thank You goes to: Ken at the CAT Rental Store in Calgary for special rates on equipment rentals Click on a picture below to see a larger version.
