KANANASKIS
The Kananaskis is one of Alberta largest Provincial Parks and does not allow the use of motorized recreation. There is a multitude of hiking and biking trails, kayaking and fishing in the summer and skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding and snow shoeing during winter months .

Projects from the Friends of Kananaskis are divided into three categories:
Pika Duty—Litter pick up, maintaining culverts and ditches, hand pruning and disposal, trail condition reporting
Elk Duty—Includes pika duties plus, small drainage ditching with hand tools, deadfall removal with hand tools, repair/replace signage
Grizzly Duty—Includes pika and elk duties plus trail surfacing, bridge repair, digging/clearing drainage ditches, large deadfall removal.
