Elbow Valley - Sept 9 2008
A group of 22 volunteers met at the West Bragg Creek trail head to undertake pruning and drainage work. The group was unexpectedly large, so they were split between three crew leaders: Olivier Aubin, Colin Graver, and Doug Rourke. The Elbow Valley staff did a great job of adapting their project to the large group and was then able to keep everyone busy. Great job guys!
Work was done on Telephone Loop, Hostel Loop, Sundog, and Crystal Line. These trails are now ready for the winter ski season, so let’s hope we have some great snow this year! The crew worked from 0900 until 1400 and got a lot accomplished. Kudos to everyone who was involved, it’s great to see so many people excited about our provincial trails!
There were no incidents to report. It was suggested that the Telephone Loop and Sundog could use some future attention in order to improve their summer usability.
