ATV Drill Stem Bridges - Completed August 2008
Below are pictures of drill stem bridges built for ATV crossings in Waiparous over a two year period. It takes approximately 2 weeks to build a drill stem bridge and install, with decking, over a water crossing. One person in particular was very instrumental in getting these bridges built and installed. He gave countless hours of his own time, often working more then 12 hour days with limited help. We would like to take this time to thank Garry Salekin for all of his efforts, all of his hours and all of his positive words of motivation!
Thank you to Alberta Sustainable Resources Development for their assistance transporting materials to various sites in the Waiparous area and for donating all the decking to install onto the drill stem for the 2007-2008 projects.
Thank you to Garry, all his friends and family, as well as those who came out to successfully install 15 ATV bridges between 2007 and 2008 in The Ghost.
Also a special thank you to the SRD Wild Fire Crew stationed in The Ghost, especially Kevin, for all their help loading all the materials.
