Meadow Creek Bridge Install - Completed August 2008

We would like to take this time thank everyone who participated on the Meadow Creek bridge install in The Ghost/Waiparous! It was a huge success!

Over 30 volunteers came out over a number of weekends to get this project completed! Its the first multi use bridge of its kind to go in to The Ghost/Waiparous and it was great to see so many clubs and organizations come to help get it finished!

The last work weekend went very well, the weather was great and everyone was busy. Volunteers went out later that week and completed back filling the approaches and finally, the bridge was complete!

Thank you to members of The Bow Region Stewardship Society for their hard work and dedication in filling out the necessary paperwork to get this project going and to The Alberta Sustainable Resources Development (ASRD) for their support and hard work.

A special thank you goes to the Alberta Stewardship Network for believing in our efforts and approving the grant that turned this project into areality.

ASRD also purchased the decking and abutment materials and donated the helicopter time to fly the materials in the project site.

Thank you to The Calgary Jeep Association and Alberta United Recreationists Society for their donations of $1000 each towards this project.

Special thank you to Dave of Dunlop Contracting for donating man hours to welding, cutting, transporting materials and discounted use of equipment. And also to Terry of Teco Construction for providing man hours and a dump trailer to haul countless loads of back fill!

Thank you for the hard work and extra efforts put in by members of the Calgary Jeep Association, Second Gear Club Calgary Quad Squad and Crows Nest Pass Quad Squad!

It was great to see some new faces and thank you to Eco 4 Wheeling Society for coming all the way down from Edmonton to help out!
